CODE OF ETHICS   from The American Tarot Association

  • We believe that tarot is positive energy used only for good to empower people through self-discovery to become their best selves. The use of tarot encourages people to make practical, positive, life-affirming decisions.

  • Serve the best interests of clients, conducting professional activities without causing or intending to cause harm.

  • Treat all clients with equal respect, regardless of their origin, race, religion, gender, age, or sexual preference.

  • Keep confidential the names of clients and all information shared or discussed during readings, unless otherwise requested by the client or required by a court of law..

  • Recommend clients consult a licensed professional for advice of a legal, financial, medical, or psychological nature that we are not qualified to provide.

  • Discuss and agree upon all fees with clients in advance. Should a client wish to proceed beyond the originally agreed arrangement, all additional fees will be discussed and agreed upon by both parties before proceeding.

  • Respect clients' right to refuse or terminate their reading at any time, regardless of prior consent.

In addition, Mystical Realism Tarot:

  • Reserves the right to refuse or withdraw from a reading for any reason. Readings not completed by choice of Mystical Realism will be fully refunded.  

  • Will provide non-judgmental, compassionate, professional readings.

  • Applies tarot in a way that falls outside of the scope of occult sciences and is not reading tarot in a manner that claims or purports to tell fortunes or with the ability to foretell future events with any certainty.  

  • Provides clients with spiritual guidance and serves to empower clients towards making spiritually empowered decisions for him or herself within the framework of the client’s own personal spiritual beliefs or practices.

  • Shall take the initiative to continue his or her tarot education for the full duration of and throughout his /her professional practice.

  • Does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, or sexual orientation.
